Christmas time can be one of the few times where everyone is together so it’s important to make sure you do some fun things together. Here are a few ideas of fun things families can do around the holidays.
1. Sleigh Ride – What better way to take in the winter wonderland than to bring the family on a horse drawn carriage in the evening with a few warm blankets and a thermos of hot chocolate! This is a also a great idea for couples. Men can impress their ladies with this thoughtful romantic evening under the open sky. It’s a great way to keep close cause she’ll be wanting you to keep her warm. Just make sure you’re able to keep her warm! You don’t want to go out on a sleigh ride if you’ll both come back with frost bite!
2. Look at Christmas Lights – It’s always fun to go around and look at all the houses covered in Christmas lights. If you live around a lot of houses it’s nice to get outside and walk. However if you live in the middle of nowhere it might be a better idea to take your car. This way everyone stays warm and you can see more lights.
3. Make Christmas Cookies – Everyone likes eating cookies and making them is almost as fun! Have everyone in the family help make and decorate cookies. Try making your own frosting to add to this fun family event. If you’re family is picky and has different tastes (like most families do) have a bake off! Everyone makes their own kind of cookie and when everyones finished have a competition to see who’s cookie turned out best.
