Holiday Cards for your business

Most people celebrate Christmas. In the commercial world everyone celebrates the holidays. With this being the case it is a custom to send out a Christmas card signed by your company or their staff to loyal customers and suppliers.
The fact is that people like being made to feel wanted and loved. This is why the whole custom of sending greetings in the holiday season exists. Whether it is a card from next doors cat or the hairdressers, joyous sighs tend to come from the hallways of many houses across the country as people open their post during advent. So why shouldn’t your company jump on this band wagon?
It does not matter if you only have two or three people to send them to, what matters is the strengthening effect they have on the relationship. Taking the time and effort to have cards created and sent during the Christmas period (when everyone knows most businesses are at their busiest) shows dedication and loyalty not to mention the willingness to thank those companies and clients who help you day to day throughout the year. It also shows that your company is humane and has good values; things that can only make your company look good! Remember however in all of this to keep the theme generic as many people celebrate different aspects of Christmas so keep the card itself simple.
Now you are convinced that this is a great idea, here are some tips. Be organised. Christmas is likely to be hectic so even if you do not send your cards out in November, ensure they are ready to go so they don’t miss the last post in the manic few days ahead of Christmas.
Compile your client list and keep it updated. This is something you are likely to be doing already but remember that a card at holiday season reminds clients that you are still there to serve and still value their custom.
Do not be afraid to hand write some cards (especially if they are highly valued recipients or you have few clients). This will not look unprofessional; rather it will look more personal. Writing a personal message will make the recipient feel valued.
